This is my friend's new wallpaper on his iPhone. He left Pennsylvania on the 2nd.
He's ostentably in New Mexico. I don't believe him, I asked him where all the sand was. He said he expected more sand too. Instead, he's out there with this:
Your friend seems to be quite the lucky guy. Those pictures are awesome, they give you emotions which are quite hard to describe. It's like you're all alone in the world, you blend with it, and forget about the self-proclaimed "civilization". The perfect place and time to enjoy yourself, become a child again, and be happy with it.
On a less poetic side note, this place makes me remember "Commando", the movie. The chalet is really awesome though, a shelter build in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the green, where you can reach the sky by rising your hands. Who knows what can you even feel by just breathing that air.
Incidentally within an hour or two of where I am, the climate becomes temperate and, oddly enough, looks and feels like it could very well be some rural village not too far off of Pittsburgh.
Heck,Silver City (which is a little further out) feels almost exactly like Morgantown except maybe a bit smaller -- which we always thought was completely uncanny. (Even stranger is one of my brother's friends from HS apparently had family there so they recognized him in some way!)

Become a child /again/? Once was bad enough, you know.
ReplyDeleteWhich part of New Mexico is this?
